The main retail
sales location for TK Imports is Fredericksburg, Texas,
a unique old German town located in the Hill Country of
Central Texas. This is one of the better
known tourist destinations in Central
Texas. High quality and unique items are very
popular with visitors to
Fredericksburg. The TK product line started
with antique furniture and has further developed to
satisfy the discriminating tastes of Fredericksburg's
customer set. In 2005 unique
giftware such as silverplate from Italy
and Sam's Copper Art were added to the TK product
line. We met Sam, the copper man, in 2005 and
added his unique and beautiful Art Vases and Art
Plates. In January 2006 Terry and
Kay became distributors for Sam's line of
Copper Art to retailers across Texas.
Upon his
retirement from the computer industry in 2001, Terry and
Kay visited Southern India with hopes of starting
an import business. The intent of the new business
was to satisfy Terry's desire for international travel
and Kay's love of shopping. The
original objective was not to import antiques,
but after finding many unique old pieces and superb
woodcrafters, the decision was made to only import old
colonial antiques. Terry and Kay provide quality
British, Dutch and French Colonial antiques at the
retail and wholesale level and are a distributor
for unique copper art .
During the late
1700's and early 1800's European colonists from England,
France and Holland moved to India and had simple but
classic styled furniture crafted from the native Indian
teak, rosewood and other exotic Asian woods. These
unique pieces are the TK Imports
specialty.
